assignment 4 english 101-19

My rough draft is longer than the paper looked over for peer review. I guess you could say I switched the
story up a bit. I changed around some details, took more of a positive turn actually.


My final paper will show slight changes from the two rough drafts done. I will consider and take action
where it needs to be. Just unsure of how I'm going to go about it.

I struggle with transition. Or even keeping a story a little to realistic instead of a combination of
fact and story. For how I write anyway. (Meaning I use my own experience most of the time.)

Hands down my weakest parts are usually my beginning and my end or conclusive portion of my story. 


I would say my strongest part is usually in the middle of my story. Possible when it comes down to
describing feelings. I try to make it seem real to the reader. So that they can feel it.

assignment 3. eng. 101-19

A nack for detail would be my first listing for any great paper. If you can't get your reader to melt into your
words, then your just not doing a good job. A person such as myself has a fairly hard time visualizing
what a writer maybe trying to "show" you.
If I can feel what your saying because of the detail in emotion, action and all other expressions
then I can visualize what your trying to share with me.

The second would be a balance, in genre for lack of a better term.
Especially if its going to be a heavy hearted emotionally written part or scene.
There should be laughter, humor is a must. There's nothing better in good or bad
day than a little bit of laughter to get you along the way.  There should be some
action of some sort. Its not absolutely needed but something to get your heart
racing is always a good thing :)

The third would be the transitioning from sentence to sentence and subject to
subject. This is a section I am not so great in myself. But I do try.
Knowing how to smoothly make your story flow as one awesome piece of art is
the greatest part about being able to write. Writing isn't just something all people are
great at. It is an art form. Just like science and theatre alike. There is a certain finess
a person must have to get the audience to sway like everyone is one big body of ocean.

Now that I have all this figured out.
I know we are suppose to think of the three topics for our literacy narative
but to be honest, I've already chose.  It'll be about one of the times writing was
proven to be a great outlet for me and how it can turn ugly at the same time.
I hope my story will move some of you, maybe teach us about trust. Wish me luck :)

just some late words for thoughts. Eng. 101-19

I find this funny. Creating a blog for class and feeling not up to it. Yet knowing
damn well that I would probably create something similar to this at some point anyway.
Seeing as writing is the only way I have ever been able to really express and rant what I feel.
This is part very late assignment and part I just need to vent. The changes that have just been consistently
going on since a week before school started. Have slowly but surely been creeping up to
high stress levels in my head. Its like your suffocating, catch get that five minutes to just breathe.
When you do...
It certainly doesn't feel like your breathing at all.
I guess a break up, school starting, a potential promotion, then getting food poisoning, while
trying to forget the emotional wreck that is balled up in the corner of your mind. IS A BIT EXHAUSTING.
